It is such a wonderful mix of dough and chocolate. It was so tasty – it is a chocolate treat, but it is not too sweet. The other treat that you have to try at some point is the chocolate babka – I snacked on this treat for two days, actually. (I don’t think I’ve ever actually done it!) The bagels at Rebelle are great and I am so happy that i know I can go back and bring family and friends there! I have been known to consider shipping bagels to myself from New York.

Whenever I went down to New York, I used to bring back at least a dozen bagels from H&H bagels. It made no sense to me that there wasn’t a place that had good bagels – and I felt it was such a huge void because they are one of my favorite breakfast items. I was so happy to feel like I had finally found a bagel shop in Providence that has high quality bagels!!! In recent years I have googled, asked friends and just constantly searched for good bagels in Providence. Both the bagel and the cream cheese were amazing! Bagel with bacon and scallion cream cheese I toasted it just lightly and added some cream cheese onto it. I went home and sliced my bagel in half, and put it in the toaster oven. I also ordered a medium half caff coffee and a chocolate babka! Normally I will eat my bagel with butter, or hummus (a definite favorite) or as an egg sandwich (egg, cheese, avocado is my favorite!) However, Rebelle had an amazing sounding cream cheese and they sell really little containers of it – I just had to try the bacon scallion cream cheese. I’ll let you in on a secret – I’m a weirdo and I don’t love cream cheese. I ended up ordering three bagels (I figured others would want to try them) – I ordered two everything and one plain. I was by myself, and didn’t have my book or computer with me to stay and eat. When I went in, I figured I would just get a bagel or two to go and try their coffee. I think that has been closed for a while – and I was SO pleased when I arrived and saw the beautiful shop that went into this space! It is really lovely and airy – it would definitely be a place that I would go to with a friend and eat breakfast or lunch. The shop is on the corner of Doyle Ave and Camp Street in Providence, in a former convenience store called “Your Corner Store”. Once I arrived I realized quickly that I would not be disappointed in my Saturday morning adventure! Rebelle Artisan Bagels I am much more of a savory breakfast person. A couple of months ago, I stood in line with my mom to try PVDonuts – and after standing in the freezing cold for over thirty minutes, I had had enough. I woke up 45 minutes before my alarm went off (I set it for 9am just in case – I have been known to sleep in on Saturdays) and I got dressed and went right out to see what I would find at 110 Doyle Ave.Īs I was driving over, I wondered if people would be standing in a line outside of the building. I was back in the Providence area and I was more than excited to check out the newest bagel place in Providence – Rebelle Artisan Bagels. It is a rare occasion that I will set my alarm clock late on a Friday night – but this Saturday morning I had something to get up for.
